Therapeutic approaches are selected and integrated based on individual needs, goals, and clinical presentation.

Therapeutic Approaches

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

ACT supports individuals in developing a different relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions. The focus is on building psychological flexibility, clarifying personal values, and supporting meaningful action even in the presence of emotional discomfort.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps identify patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviours that may be contributing to distress. Therapy focuses on increasing awareness of these patterns and supporting the development of more adaptive ways of responding.

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)

CPT is a structured, trauma-focused approach that supports individuals in understanding and processing how traumatic experiences may have shaped core beliefs. The goal is to reduce distress and support integration of the experience in a way that restores a sense of safety and self-trust.

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)

ERP is an evidence-based approach commonly used to treat obsessive-compulsive concerns. It involves gradually and compassionately facing feared thoughts or situations while learning new ways of responding, with the aim of reducing anxiety over time.

The Gottman Method is a research-based approach to couples therapy that focuses on strengthening communication, emotional connection, and conflict management. It supports partners in building trust, understanding, and shared meaning within the relationship.

Attachment-Based Therapy

Attachment-based therapy explores how early relational experiences influence current emotional and relational patterns. Therapy focuses on increasing awareness, emotional security, and the capacity for safe and meaningful connection.

Compassion-Focused Therapy

This approach supports individuals who experience high levels of self-criticism or shame. Therapy focuses on cultivating self-compassion and developing more supportive ways of relating to oneself and emotional experiences.

Brain Spotting

Brainspotting is a neurobiological approach that supports the processing of trauma and emotionally activating experiences. It works by supporting the brain’s natural capacity for emotional and physiological regulation, allowing for deeper processing at a pace guided by the nervous system.
